To TRANSFORM you must train for FAT-LOSS, NOT WEIGHT-LOSS

Most people focus on weight-loss, when in fact if you really want to look and feel your best, you never want to lose weight – instead you MUST lose FAT and build lean strong muscle.

Muscle is more metabolically active and more vascular than fat. In fact muscle uses 5-6x more energy than fat per pound and it takes up to 80% less volume!

When you train for weight-loss, you typically lose more muscle than you do fat and get exhausted results such as maintaining a ton of fat in your abdominal region or only achieving a “skinny fat” type look. You also have a slower rate of healing, less energy, agility and strength.

JUNK VOLUME

There is a distinct science to the amount of reps/sets, and additionally the order and volume of these exercises one must follow, in order to yield specific results (adaptation).

However, most people, even most athletes, tend to do too many exercises in a workout, with no focus, and thus obtain little to no outcome. This empty training is known by qualified industry professionals as JUNK VOLUME.

Junk volume training results in a lackluster outcome in performance and body composition. Additionally, it often amounts to muscle imbalance and pain in the knees, shoulders, and back.

This type of training keeps you exhausted both physically and mentally and does little to improve fitness, strength or body composition.

In the beginning of my career I spent a long time chasing transformation.
I wanted to do a pull up, I wanted to have incredible abs, arms, defined glutes and I wanted my knees and back to stop hurting.

When I started to really train martial arts I wanted a program that would fortify my body and make it less susceptible to injury and overuse. I didn’t want to be ‘fit’ and in pain.

After I had my baby I just wanted to feel like myself again, regain my energy, my physique and strength and find ways to do that in less time.

After I herniated my disk in an accidental injury I wanted to get back to waking up pain free and also training pain free. I wanted to keep my body and also keep training in martial arts.

Proper training should mold with your life, your goals and your experiences.

It should get and keep you at your fittest, strongest and most agile without being so rigid that you fall off once you have a child, suffer an injury or change your regiment or activity.

FACT IS

Proper training should transform your life. You should be able to travel, eat, live guilt free. You should be able to train at any age or stage of your life. Training should help you stay active, energized, invigorated and help you do things that you never thought possible.

zero chance of failure

Think about why you have failed at reaching your goals, or have been getting “lack-luster” resutls while putting in maximum effort:

  1. You haven’t addressed pain or injury (you can’t train through/with pain).

Cardio focused training is the number one reason why people are injured, exhausted, “skinny fat” (meaning they can’t get rid of belly fat), and are missing that key lean/chiseled looking body.

The general approach to "fitness and Physique": Recomposition (Recomp)

The traditional “Golden Goose of Fitness” is always the Recomp, or Recomposition. This is the scientific programming approach to burning fat as you build muscle.

While this is a great system used by figure models and bodybuilders, Dasha found that for 99% of people she worked with, Recomp, while effective, still had a ton of missing pieces.
